What is BPI ePay?
BPI ePay is a virtual account that comes with a Virtual Card and provides added security to your online transactions.
What is a BPI ePay Account?
This is a virtual account that you add funds to using your BPI account. Think of it as a secure wallet for your online shopping money. The money you transfer to your BPI ePay Account funds your Virtual MasterCard®, which you can use to shop online.
What is a BPI ePay Virtual MasterCard®?
This is a Virtual Card inside your account specifically made for online transactions. It has the 16-digit card number and other information you need to input when an online shop asks for card details like “card number” or “CVC”. There is no money stored in the Virtual Card – it only uses the balance available in your account.
Can I have multiple Virtual Cards?
Multiple cards will be available soon.
Where can I use my ePay Virtual MasterCard®?
You can use it to buy from any online store or website that accepts MasterCard®. The card can only be used online and cannot be used at websites that require a physical copy of the card upon pick-up of item.

Adding Funds: The minimum amount you can add to your ePay Account is P20 and the maximum is P100,000. The P20 fee* will have to be added to the amount you will transfer from your BPI Express Online to your BPI ePay. For example, if you need P2,000 to pay online, you must key-in P2,020. *Fee for Adding Funds is FREE until March 31, 2016 only.
Sharing Funds: The sharer of the funds will bear the P50 fee. For example, if you share P500, the receiver will receive the P500 but P550 will be deducted from your balance.
If you add or share less than the P50 fee, it will be considered as part of the charge fee. For example, if you add or share P49, the balance shared or added will be 0.00.
There is no required maintaining balance.
How do I get a BPI ePay Account?
To sign-up for your ePay Account, simply fill out the form online, verify your email address and mobile number, and then upload a photo of your valid ID. Once you have your ePay Account, you can get an BPI ePay Virtual MasterCard®.

Who can get a BPI ePay Account?
All BPI Accountholders who are enrolled in bpiexpressonline.com can open a BPI ePay Account. A valid ID, mobile number and personal email address will be required upon sign up. No minimum income required and no documents needed.
How do I add funds to my ePay Account ?
Is there a monthly limit for adding funds to my ePay Account?
Yes. The minimum amount you can add is P50, and the maximum monthly limit is P100,000.
Is there a limit to how many times I can add funds to my ePay Account?
None, as long as you do not exceed the maximum aggregate limit of P100,000.
How soon are my funds available after I add them to my ePay Account?
Your funds will be available within 2 banking days.
What do I do if my attempt to add funds is not successful?
Please make sure you transfer funds to “ePay”. It may take up to 2 banking days before the funds you added will appear in your available balance. If it still doesn’t appear, you can check your account if the balance you transferred was returned to you. If you were deducted balance but the balance didn’t appear in your BPI ePay, you can contact us through email at firstname.lastname@example.org (Mondays to Fridays 8:30am – 5:30pm except holidays)
I forgot my password for my BPI ePay Account. What should I do?
You may reset your password here. Simply click “Recover Password” on the login page then enter your BPI ePay email address. Log on to your email and click on the link in your email. For gmail users, the BPI ePay email message will appear in the “Promotions” tab.
My ePay Account ’s available funds are insufficient for my purchase. Can I still use my Virtual Card to complete the purchase?
Before you can complete the purchase with your Virtual Card, you must make sure you have enough available funds in your BPI ePay Account. The funds that you add will be available in your account after 2 banking days.
How do I change my personal information such as phone number, address, and password?
Log in to your BPI ePay Account, go to “Account Overview”, and click on “Account Details” to update your personal information.
Where do I go to view my BPI ePay Account balance?
Log in to your BPI ePay Account and go to “Account Overview” to view your account balance.
Will I get a paper statement each month?
All details of your BPI ePay Account(including your transaction history, account balance) will be available to you online 24/7 through the “Account Overview” page. No paper statements will be sent.
How do I view a history of my transactions?
Log in to your BPI ePay Account and click on “Transactions” to view your transaction history.
There is a discrepancy in my BPI ePay Account balance. What do I do?
If you notice any discrepancies, you must contact us within 60 days of the time and date of the transaction.

How do I share funds with another BPI ePay Account?
Log into your BPI ePay Account and click on the “Share Funds” tab. You can choose to send funds to another BPI ePay Account via email or mobile number. Enter a message and the amount you’d like to send, then click on “Share Now!”. You can also send money to a non-ePay user as long as the person has a mobile number, email address, and a valid ID. The user will have to create an account within 7 days to claim the funds – otherwise the funds will be transferred back to your available balance.
How do I know if someone has shared funds with me?
You will receive an SMS on your mobile phone or an email notification when someone successfully shares funds with you.
I received an email/SMS notification informing me to claim shared funds, but I’m unable to claim it after I clicked on the link. Why?
You may be unable to claim the funds that have been sent to you due to the following reasons:
- The funds have already expired, as they have not been claimed within 7 days after they were sent.
- The sender cancelled the sharing before you could claim the shared funds. You may have already claimed it.
- Please check your transaction history or contact the sender who has sent you the funds.
How do I claim funds that have been shared with me?
You can claim shared funds through the email/SMS notification:
Click on the URL in the email or SMS notification you received. Log into your BPI ePay Account.
Click on “Claim”.
Type in the one-time verification code that was sent to your mobile.
Or directly through your BPI ePay Account:
Login to your BPI ePay Account. Go to the “Share Funds” tab. Click on “Claim”.
Your available balance will be updated once you’ve completed your claim.
How long do I have to claim the funds that were shared with me?
Unclaimed funds will expire and be returned to the sender’s BPI ePay Account after 7 days.
I did not receive the one-time verification code. How can I get it?
You can log out of your BPI ePay Account, log back in, and click on “Resend Code”.

Can I share funds with a friend even if he/she does not have BPI ePay?
You can still share funds through email or SMS even if the recipient does not have a BPI ePay Account. They will be asked to sign up to claim their funds. After signing up, they can claim the shared funds just like any other user. They have to sign up within 7 days to claim the funds otherwise if the funds are unclaimed it will be returned to the one who sent it.
How do I know if I’ve successfully shared funds to another BPI ePay Account?
You will receive an email notification when you’ve shared funds successfully. Click on the “Share Funds” tab, and your share record will be reflected under “View Pending”.
You can also check if your share was successful using your transaction history or available balance (it may take up to 15 minutes for these to update).
How do I know if my friend has successfully claimed the funds I shared?
You will receive an email notification when your friend successfully claimed the shared funds.
You can also go to the “Share Funds” tab. The share record should no longer be listed under “view pending” once your friend has claimed the shared funds.
Your transaction history page will also list a successful “Share Funds Out” once your friend has claimed the shared funds.
Are there any additional fees for sharing funds?
Yes. You need to pay P50 fee when you share funds of any amount.
Can I share funds with a mobile number outside of the Philippines?
As of now, Share Funds is limited to the Philippine-registered mobile number.
I shared funds with another account, but the transaction isn’t reflected in my transaction history or deducted from my available balance. Why?
It may take up to 15 minutes for your transaction history and available balance to update.
Why am I being charged an extra USD 1 for my iTunes/Paypal transaction even though I did not purchase anything or my transaction didn’t go through?
The extra charge is also known as a Temporary Authorization Fee. The fee costs $1. This is NOT an additional charge when you make a purchase/payment. This is a verification process made by the merchant to ensure your Virtual Card is in good standing and is valid. The Temporary Authorization Fee will be returned to your BPI ePay Account within 7 days.
If you still have not received your refund after 7 days, please contact us through email at email@example.com.
Can I still view my transactions if my Virtual Card is cancelled?
You can still log in to your BPI ePay Account dashboard and view your transaction history, but, your cancelled card will no longer be available to you.

How do I reactivate a suspended virtual card?
Contact us to reactivate a suspended Virtual Card through email at email@example.com.
I want to suspend one of my Virtual Cards. How do I do it?
To suspend a Virtual Card, log in to your BPI ePay Account and click “Suspend a Card”. Select a card to suspend. This process is immediate and you will not be able to use the suspended Virtual Card after that.
